Abington Reef, Sudan
The dive site
Abington Reef at a glance
The Abington Reef in Sudan, marked by a lighthouse, just breaks the surface of the water; it is rectangular and surrounded by strong currents.
If you like turtles, Abington Reef is the best place to see these curious creatures. They are truly magnificent and always seem to enjoy being photographed. The reef is also known for its schools of hammerhead sharks.
Diving at Abington Reef is reserved for experienced divers. This dive site is visited on some of our liveaboard trips in Sudan.
