Jandia Canyon
The dive site
Jandia Canyon at a glance
LOCATION: About 1 kilometer from the coast, about a 25-minute speedboat ride south, diving depths 10–18 m.
UNDERWATER LANDSCAPE: A landscape reminiscent of the famous Grand Canyon in miniature. Massive, sparkling red rock formations crisscrossed by countless gorges.
FISH SPECIES: pufferfish and ballfish, red-eyed groupers, large scorpionfish, masked and tiger moray eels, swallowtail fish, lizardfish, nudibranchs, and—with a little luck—large sea turtles, cat sharks, bottlenose dolphins, coral sponges, and anemones.
