Angarosh Reef, Sudan

The dive site

Habili Dahret Ghab at a glance

Habili Dahret Ghab is a large, round reef that begins just 2 meters below the water’s surface and holds many surprises.

At the southern end, the reef slopes gently down to 30 m, where a small sandy area opens onto a plateau. Here, several saddles rise up to 20 m. The plateau is covered with colorful soft corals that are home to a diverse array of reef fish. Right next to the reef, a school of barracudas patrols the area, and just below the dive deck, many young silky sharks swim.

The reef walls on the east-west side are beautifully covered with hard corals and many soft corals. Overhangs along the reef and countless fish on the reef top make diving here a truly memorable experience.
