Miyaru Kandu - Felidhoo Atoll
The dive site
Miyaru Kandu - Felidhoo Atoll at a glance
"Miyaru" means "shark" in Dhivehi, and "Kandu" means "channel"—so "Shark Channel," in other words! The name says it all for this dive: when the current is flowing in, you’ll find plenty of gray reef sharks waiting for you on the outer side of the channel. At 33 meters, on the northern corner of the channel, there’s a cave from which you can get a great view of the sharks! In the channel itself, you’ll often find whitetip and blacktip sharks.
