Richelieu Rock

Richelieu Rock is located 80 km north of the Similan Islands, making it Thailand’s northernmost diving site. It rises only slightly above the water at low tide and lies isolated, far from other reefs.

Richelieu Rock is a world-renowned top dive site; whale sharks and manta rays are regularly spotted here, so it’s always worth taking a look out into the open water. But even if these gentle giants aren’t around, Richelieu Rock offers an exciting underwater landscape, densely overgrown rocks, and great opportunities to spot rarer fish such as seahorses, harlequin shrimp, ghost pipefish, and anglerfish.

Strong currents can occur at Richelieu Rock, especially during the tidal change. It is recommended to study the tide tables before a dive.
