The liveaboard

Admira in profile

The M/Y Admira is a 40-meter-long, 8-meter-wide safari vessel that has been extensively refurbished and modernized. With 12 comfortable cabins, it can accommodate up to 24 guests. However, to ensure a particularly relaxing travel experience, the liveaboard trips are limited to a maximum of 18 participants. With its modern design, spacious layout, and high level of comfort, the M/Y Admira ranks among the upscale liveaboard vessels in the Red Sea.

Cabins:

You’ll travel in comfort and have a choice of different cabin categories. On the Main Deck, there are six standard cabins, each with two single beds, as well as two standard cabins with a 1.40-meter-wide double bed. The Top Deck features two cabins, each with two single beds, as well as two spacious suites with a 1.60-meter-wide double bed.

All cabins are bright, modernly furnished, and equipped with a private bathroom and individually controlled air conditioning. High-quality mattresses and cozy bedding ensure restful nights after varied dives and exciting exploration tours. Towels are, of course, provided.

Meals:

Meals are served buffet-style. The cuisine is international and Arabic. There’s something to suit every taste. If you have any special requests—for example, if you’re a vegetarian or have allergies—please let us know when booking so we can inform the chef.

Decks:

The main deck features the dining room, the lounge, and the bar. The interior has been designed to create a sense of comfort. The indoor dining room is bright and airy with comfortable seating and leads to the air-conditioned lounge, which features large sofas and armchairs for relaxing between dives. The outdoor terrace is perfect for enjoying the sea breeze, unwinding at the end of the day, and discussing the cool marine life spotted during the dives. A Nespresso capsule machine and a drip coffee maker are available (we do not have any capsules or filter coffee available on board! Please bring your own Nespresso capsules and filter coffee!)

Sun Deck:

On the sun deck, you’ll find plenty of opportunities to sunbathe and relax. In addition to a cozy seating area, there are plenty of sun loungers. A minibar is also located on the sun deck.

General Information:

Generally, 220-volt AC power is available. We recommend bringing a Euro-standard plug. Please note: Automatic chargers are not suitable for use on board due to frequent voltage fluctuations.

We carry a small selection of essential medications on board our ships (for nausea, diarrhea, and earaches). Please bring your own small first-aid kit if necessary. However, please check in advance to ensure the medications are compatible with diving.

We require each diver to have a valid certification and logbook, as well as a valid medical certificate, if available (not mandatory!). Your last dive should not have been more than 1 year ago. The dive guide reserves the right to prohibit guests who do not meet these requirements or who lack sufficient diving experience from diving at certain locations (due to currents, depth, etc.) without compensation.

Diving:

The dive deck and dive platform are equipped with freshwater showers, sinks, restrooms, and lockers—or sufficient storage space—for gear. Diving takes place either from one of the two spacious Zodiacs (6 m long and 2.45 m wide, equipped with environmentally friendly Yamaha 4-stroke engines) or from the dive platform. The maximum diving depth prescribed by Egyptian law and CDWS rules is 30 meters. However, under certain conditions, dives up to 40 meters are permitted. A Deep Dive certification is required for this. Night diving, as well as swimming and snorkeling, are prohibited in marine park areas. The use of a dive computer and a signal buoy is mandatory!

Equipment for Divers:

In addition to standard equipment, the following items and documentation are mandatory for every diver:

Dive computer, depth gauge, and watch; safety buoy; snorkel; logbook; dive certification; regulator with an alternate air source; and dive light.

Group discount:

For groups of eight or more full-paying participants, we offer a 10% discount. For groups of 13 or more, there is a 10% discount and one free spot for the group organizer. However, the group organizer is responsible for any additional costs.
