Blue Seas

The following services are included in the tour price per person:

• Accommodation in a half-double cabin on the lower deck with shower and toilet
• Full board on board (including tea, coffee, water, and bottled soft drinks)
  • Full board begins with dinner on the day of arrival and ends with breakfast on the day of departure
• Check-in on the day of arrival at 3:00 p.m.
• Check-out on the day of departure at 9:00 a.m. (cabin), 12:00 p.m. (boat)
• Diving: up to four dives per day, two dives on the last day, 12-liter aluminum tank, weights, guide
• Transfer (except for night flights)
  • For transfers from Hurghada to Port Ghalib, there may be a maximum wait time of three hours (e.g., due to combining transfers or flight delays)
• Wi-Fi (subject to internet coverage)
• Free Nitrox
  • If the nitrox system is unavailable for technical reasons, there is no entitlement to a refund

The following services per person are not included in the tour price:

• Upper deck cabin surcharge: 120 EUR
• Single cabin supplement: 80% of the safari price
• Visa and service fee: 40 EUR 
  • (If the Egyptian government increases visa fees, the visa price will be adjusted)
• Incidental expenses package (includes: diving permit, local fees, port fees, surcharges, and diesel surcharge)

  • In the event of government-mandated price increases (fuel, taxes, fees), we reserve the right to adjust prices accordingly. Should government-mandated price increases (fuel, taxes, fees) occur, we reserve the right to adjust prices accordingly. We also reserve the right to charge an “environmental fee” starting in 2021.
• 15-liter bottles (steel or aluminum) must be pre-ordered and incur a 30 EUR weekly surcharge

• Payment on board can be made in euros, Egyptian pounds, British pounds, dollars, or by Visa or MasterCard (the boat owner charges a 2% surcharge for these methods)

Cabins:
The Blue Seas can accommodate 24 divers. The lower deck features a spacious master suite with a double bed, as well as seven additional cabins with twin beds. On the upper deck, there are four double cabins—two with double beds and two with twin beds. Each cabin is equipped with a private bathroom and air conditioning.

Meals:
The meals are varied and served buffet-style. If you have any special requests—for example, if you are vegetarian or have allergies—please let us know when booking so we can inform the chef. There is a Nespresso coffee machine on the boat—please bring your own capsules!

Salon:
The air-conditioned salon is equipped with state-of-the-art entertainment electronics and a flat-screen TV, and its décor is reminiscent of a colonial-style lounge.

Sun decks:

The upper and sun decks feature seating and tables in the covered area, as well as spaces to retreat, relax, and sunbathe.

Diving:
For an additional fee and with advance registration, PADI AOWD and Nitrox courses can be completed on board. All vessels in the Blue Planet fleet are equipped with the Nautilus Life Line System.

NRC Extrem 07 membrane system available. Divers with a Nitrox certification may dive with Nitrox at no additional charge.

Required equipment and experience for guests:

All participants on a dive cruise should have at least 50 dives for marine park tours; for northern and wreck dives, 30 dives with Advanced Open Water certification or equivalent (recommended),  30 dives for St. Johns, Advanced Open Water or equivalent (recommended), and the most recent of these dives should have taken place no more than 1 year ago. The guide reserves the right to prohibit guests who do not meet these requirements or who lack sufficient diving experience from diving at certain sites (due to currents, depth, etc.). This may also result in restrictions on the dive sites visited or the diving itinerary.

Each guest must bring the following equipment and documents:

Diver’s ID, logbook, medical certificate no older than 1 year, dive computer, signal buoy, and weight belt (even with jackets that have built-in weights)

Spare parts and rental equipment:

As a rule, neither rental equipment nor spare parts are available on safari boats. Each guest should therefore bring the most important spare parts for their regulator and equipment. Equipment, dive lights, and computers can be rented upon advance request.
These items are not insured—therefore, the customer is fully liable for any loss or damage.

The maximum diving depth prescribed by Egyptian law and CDWS regulations is 30 meters. Under certain conditions, however, extensions to 40 meters are permitted. This requires a Deep Dive certification. Night diving, as well as swimming and snorkeling, are prohibited in marine park areas.

As a general rule, all overnight stays are on the safari boat. In exceptional cases (depending on the boat’s occupancy schedule), the last night may be spent in a 3*** hotel on a half-board basis.

The boat owner reserves the right, in the event of adverse circumstances, to rebook safari participants onto an equivalent safari boat or to change the route at short notice due to official regulations.

Group Offer:

For group bookings of seven paying guests, the eighth person travels free of charge but pays the incidental fees (does not apply to special tours)

We offer a 10% discount on the individual booking rate for non-divers.
