The liveaboard

Blue in profile

The “Blue” — Luxury Liveaboard Redefined
This ship sets a new standard in the Red Sea. It combines the touch of luxury you desire on vacation with the functionality you expect from a liveaboard as a diver. At 43 meters long and 9 meters wide, the “Blue” is one of the largest—and, above all, most modern—liveaboards in the Red Sea. European-style luxury, high-quality interiors, and everything a diver’s heart desires—the “Blue” sets new standards and is waiting for you to discover and explore it.

Cabins:
Completed in January 2016, this wooden ship offers a total of 24 guests all the space they need to feel at home. This starts with the seven lower-deck cabins, which—thanks to a special light well design—are brighter than conventional cabins and, at nine square meters, offer plenty of space to relax. Each cabin features two separate beds, a private bathroom with a shower, toilet, and hair dryer, a TV/DVD combo, and individually controlled air conditioning. In addition, there are four upper-deck cabins with ocean views, two of which are equipped with double beds and two with separate beds. The icing on the cake is the 12-square-meter suite on the main deck.

Salon and Restaurant:
The heart of the ship is the main deck with its salon and restaurant area. In addition to the multimedia area (TV/DVD), the salon also features a bar and a small library. Meals are served in the restaurant area or in the outdoor dining area on the sun deck, where there is also an additional bar. It goes without saying that drinks, snacks, and fresh fruit are available between meals. Good food and diving also call for relaxation. You’ll find this either in one of the numerous, comfortable beanbag chairs, on the sun loungers, or in the chill-out lounge. In this regard, the “Blue” sets a new standard for dive safari boats in the Red Sea.

There’s a Nespresso coffee machine on board—please bring your own capsules!

Diving:
In addition to relaxation and good food, the focus is, of course, on diving. The “Blue” is also breaking new ground in this area. The all-inclusive, worry-free diving package here also includes the option to dive with rebreathers. For quick filling of dive tanks, there is a filling station on board with 200 and 300 bar capabilities, as well as a booster pump and storage tanks. On the dive deck, underwater photographers will find plenty of space at the extra-large camera table for gear maintenance, where a freshwater rinse basin is, of course, also provided. For dive sites that aren’t reached directly, the two Zodiacs with 85-PS engines are available, each accommodating eight divers. In terms of safety, the “Blue” is equipped with the “ENOS” system. Nitrox courses can be taken on board for an additional fee and with advance registration.

NRC Extrem 15 membrane system available. Divers with a Nitrox certification dive on Nitrox for free.

European-style luxury, high-quality interiors, and everything a diver’s heart desires—the “Blue” sets new standards and is waiting for you to discover and explore it.

Required equipment and experience for guests:

All participants on a diving cruise should have at least 50 dives for marine park tours; for northern and wreck dives, 30 dives with Advanced Open Water certification or equivalent (recommended); for St. Johns, 30 dives, Advanced Open Water or equivalent (recommended), and the last of these dives should have taken place no more than 1 year ago. The guide reserves the right to prohibit guests who do not meet these requirements or who lack sufficient diving experience from diving at certain sites (due to currents, depth, etc.). This may also result in restrictions on the dive sites visited or the route taken.

Each guest must bring the following equipment and documents:

Diver’s ID, logbook, medical certificate no older than 1 year, dive computer, signal buoy, and weight belt (even if using a jacket with integrated weights).

Spare Parts and Rental Equipment:

As a rule, there is neither rental equipment nor spare parts available on the safari vessels. Each guest should therefore bring the most important spare parts for their regulator and equipment. Equipment, dive lights, and computers can be rented upon advance reservation.
These items are not insured—therefore, the customer is fully liable for any loss or damage.

The maximum diving depth prescribed by Egyptian law and CDWS regulations is 30 meters. Under certain conditions, however, extensions to 40 meters are permitted. This requires a Deep Dive certification. Night diving, as well as swimming and snorkeling, are prohibited in marine park areas.

As a general rule, all overnight stays are on the safari boat. In exceptional cases (depending on the boat’s occupancy schedule), the last night may be spent in a 3-star hotel on a half-board basis.

The boat owner reserves the right, in the event of adverse circumstances, to rebook safari participants onto an equivalent safari boat or to change the route at short notice due to official regulations.

Group discount:

For group bookings of nine paying guests, the tenth person stays for free but must pay the additional fees (not valid for special tours)

We offer a 10% discount on the individual booking rate for non-divers.
