Golden Dolphin I in profile

The M/Y Golden Dolphin I, the first vessel in the Golden Dolphin fleet, is a 35-meter-long, mid-range wooden ship. It was designed and built for divers. Particular emphasis was placed on functionality, the size of the dive deck, and the platform.

Cabins:

The ten comfortable cabins can accommodate up to 20 divers. Eight of the cabins are located on the lower deck, and two double cabins with double beds are on the upper deck. All cabins are equipped with air conditioning, a minibar, and a private bathroom (shower/toilet).

Meals:

International and local meals are served three times a day in the dining area of the salon. Coffee, water, tea, and soft drinks are available to guests free of charge throughout the day. A Nespresso coffee machine is on board—please bring your own capsules!

Decks:

The three-part salon (divided into dining, lounge, TV/music, computer, and bar areas) and the spacious, partially covered sun decks guarantee pure relaxation between dives. There’s also the dive deck with its fantastic platform.

Diving:

The large dive deck with a platform is very spacious and offers plenty of room for every diver.

Please note:

Please bring a valid medical clearance certificate. Provided there are no health issues, this can be confirmed by signing the medical self-declaration form to be filled out on board. Proof of at least 30 logged dives must be provided. For safaris visiting marine parks, Egyptian law requires proof of at least 50 logged dives. The last dive should not have taken place more than one year ago. Please bring a copy of your passport, proof of valid dive insurance, and a safety buoy.

The maximum diving depth permitted under Egyptian law and CDWS regulations is 30 meters. However, under certain conditions, extensions to 40 meters are permitted. This requires a Deep Dive certification. Night diving, as well as swimming and snorkeling, are prohibited in marine park areas.

We offer a 10% discount for groups of eight or more people.

25% discount on the safari price for children and teenagers up to 12 years of age, as well as for non-divers.

When booking two consecutive safaris, we offer a discount of 50 euros per person per week on the safari price.

As a general rule, all overnight stays are on the safari boat. In exceptional cases (depending on the boat’s occupancy schedule), the last night may be spent in a 4-star hotel on a half-board basis.

Note:

The operation of a liveaboard trip depends on the weather, sea conditions, local regulations, and the experience of the participating divers. For these reasons, we cannot guarantee access to specific reefs.
